Selective oxidation of alkenes to carbonyls under mild conditions

Abstract

This study demonstrates a photo-induced and tetrahydrofuran (THF)-based radical strategy for the selective oxidation of alkenes to carbonyls using O₂ as the sole oxidant and water as the sole solvent.
