Technology Integration Actions in Mathematics teaching in Brazilian Basic Education: Stimulating STEM disciplines

Abstract

Mathematics is a fundamental skill in many aspects of a student's life. Most students everywhere, and in this study in Brazil, sometimes lack motivation to thrive in such subjects. The work presented in this paper aims to contribute to the development of a multiplatform teaching and learning application through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), in order to encourage the study of mathematics from the first years of basic education. The activities are divided into two areas: training teachers and how to integrate technology in the classroom through the use of mobile learning.
