Dislocation rates following total hip arthroplasty via the direct anterior approach in a consecutive, non-selective cohort

Abstract

In a non-selective, consecutive cohort of patients undergoing THA via the DAA, the risk of dislocation is low, even among patients with risk factors for instability. Our data further suggest that the DAA can be safely used in all hip arthroplasty patients without an increased risk of wound complications, fracture, infection, or revision.
