23:T53a,We report the case of a 72-y-old man with concomitant autoimmune encephalitis and severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. The patient presented with subacute cerebellar syndrome and myoclonus several days after general infectious symptoms began. Methods: Clinical examination, CT, PET, MRI, and autoantibody testing were performed. Results: The oropharyngeal swab test was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The brain MRI results were normal. Cerebrospinal fluid testing showed normal cell counts, a negative result on reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction testing, and no oligoclonal banding. Brain ¹⁸F-FDG PET showed diffuse cortical hypometabolism associated with putaminal and cerebellum hypermetabolism, compatible with encephalitis and especially cerebellitis. The immunologic study revealed high titers of IgG autoantibodies in serum and cerebrospinal fluid directed against the nuclei of Purkinje cells, striatal neurons, and hippocampal neurons. Whole-body ¹⁸F-FDG PET and CT scans did not show neoplasia. Treatment with steroids allowed a rapid improvement in symptoms. Conclusion: This clinical case argues for a possible relationship between SARS-CoV-2 infection and autoimmune encephalitis and for the use of ¹⁸F-FDG PET in such a context.24:T49c,A middle-aged man presented with imbalance and involuntary jerky movements of the body 3 weeks after initial recovery from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) lung infection, diagnosed by positive high-resolution CT thorax (COVID Reporting and Data System 5) and reverse transcription PCR (RT-PCR) from nasal swab.He had opsoclonus, cortical myoclonus, and symmetric cerebellar ataxia of speech, limbs, trunk, and gait on examination 1 (video 1).His MRI brain with contrast, CSF examination, HIV, Venereal Disease Research Laboratory, autoimmune, and paraneoplastic panel (including anti-GAD, antinuclear antibodies, antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies, anti-Hu, anti-Yo, anti-Ri, anti-amphiphysin, anti-PNAM2-Ma2/Ta antibodies), metabolic functions (hemogram, hematocrit, glucose, thyroid, renal, hepatic functions, electrolytes, serum and urine osmolality), and repeat nasal COVID-19 RT-PCR were normal.He recovered after treatment consisting of IV methylprednisolone (1 g/d), sodium valproate (20 mg/kg/d), clonazepam (2 mg/d), and levetiracetam (2 g/d) in 1 week (video 2).Our case adds to the increasing list of novel neurologic manifestations occurring in the setting of 325:T649,
