Abstract

The malnutrition status correlates with an increased risk of death during hospitalisation. Higher TC (total cholesterol) level were related to a lower risk of death, which may indicate the "lipid paradox". Higher BMI results were related to a lower risk of death, which may indicate the "obesity paradox".
