Abstract

Dysbiosis of intestinal microbiota with variable degrees of reduction in <i>Bifidobacterium</i> abundance exhibited promising performance in the predicting of in-hospital mortality and provides incremental prognostic value to existing scoring systems in the adult intensive care unit (ICU) setting.
