Lithium ion diffusion mechanism on the inorganic components of the solid–electrolyte interphase

Abstract

The inorganic nanocrystals (LiOH, Li₂O, Li₂CO₃, LiF) embedded in the amorphous organic phase forming a mosaic structure. We discovered that LiF surface presents the fastest diffusion rate for Li ions due to the relative lower energy barriers.
