With respect to multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM) problems inwhich the attribute weights and attribute values take the form of the generalized interval-valued trapezoidal fuzzy numbers, a new group decision making analysis method is proposed. Firstly, some operational laws, the distance between two generalized interval-valued trapezoidal fuzzy numbers, and transformation from the linguistic variables to generalized interval-valued trapezoidal fuzzy numbers are introduced. Then, an extended VIKOR method is proposed to solve the MAGDM problems in which the attribute weights and values are given with the form of GIVTFN. Finally, an illustrate example is given to show the effectiveness of this method and decision making steps. It shows that this method is simple and easy to understand. Key word: Interval-valued trapezoidal fuzzy number, VIKOR, multiple attribute group decision making.
