Current Management of Patients with <b><i>RPE65</i></b> Mutation-Associated Inherited Retinal Degenerations in Europe: Results of a Multinational Survey by the European Vision Institute Clinical Research Network

Abstract

This first multinational survey on management of patients with RPE65 mutation-associated IRDs in Europe shows that about half of the responding EVICR.net centers have such patients under care. There is heterogeneity in diagnoses and management practices. At the start of clinical practice experience with VN, these data provide a useful baseline and highlight the need for consensus/guidelines to inform standard of care in this new era of gene therapy.
