A high concentration of particulate matter (PM<sub>2.5</sub> and PM<sub>10</sub>) was the prominent feature of air pollution in Xi'an. Exposure to air pollutant (PM<sub>2.5</sub>, PM<sub>10</sub>, SO<sub>2</sub>) was positively associated with an increased risk of children's outpatient visits for asthma in Xi'an.
