The association between metabolic syndrome and lower urinary tract symptoms suggestive of benign prostatic hyperplasia in aging males: evidence based on propensity score matching

Abstract

Aging Chinese males with MetS had a higher probability of LUTS/BPH. Also, patients with low HDL, abdominal obesity, high triglycerides, or hyperglycemia had an increased risk of LUTS/BPH; however, this was not the case for hypertensive patients.
