Abstract

We report the synthesis of a Na-ion-conducting ionogel (IG) electrolyte using a one-pot, siloxane-modified sol–gel approach. The resulting pseudosolid electrolyte provides a nonflammable alternative to traditional carbonate liquids and demonstrates a wide stability window (5 V) as well as a high room-temperature ionic conductivity (∼1 mS cm–1). The IG exhibits excellent interfacial properties in contact with both negative and positive Na+ electrodes, enabling the operation of a solid-state sodium-ion battery.
