Short-term exposure to PM was associated with PUFAs and oxylipins derived from LOX, CYP, and COX pathways in humans. Our findings provide mechanistic insight suggesting bioactive oxylipins might be used as biomarkers and have important implications as mediators of PM-associated systemic cardiometabolic effects.
