Abstract

The tremendous advancement in information and communication technology (ICT) has led to the rise of a hot topic: "big data." Big data is defined as large data sets that are complex and, as a result, cannot be handled by traditional methods. Among the many contributors to big data are largescale and densely distributed wireless sensor networks (WSNs), which pose a number of challenges that must be resolved in parallel.
