Single-domain h-BN on Pt(110): Electronic structure, correlation, and bonding

Abstract

The authors study the band structure of a hexagonal Boron Nitride monolayer on a Pt(110) surface with rectangular symmetry using angle-resolved photoemission and density functional theory, and show that the bonding is dominated by van-der-Waals forces.
