Angle-selective surface is defined as a surface construction that can exhibit angular selectivity allowing electromagnetic waves of certain angles to pass while blocking waves from other angles. It is theoretically revealed and demonstrated that a uniaxial dielectric-magnetic slab can serve as an excellent angle-selective surface. At the incidence of the Brewster angle, electromagnetic waves can pass through the slab with no reflection. When the incidence angle is equal to or more than the critical angle, the slab can reflect almost all the incident power. It is also first demonstrated that one can stack two or more uniaxial dielectric-magnetic slabs to realize a polarization-insensitive angle-selective surface.
