Abstract

A research symposium on modern and ancient clastic tidal deposits was held in 1989 and a compendium of papers edited from the results of that symposium is presented. The topics of the papers include recognition criteria and facies models for clastic tidal deposits, tidal rhythmites, tidal inlets/deltas/flats, and nearshore and shelf systems. Separate abstracts have been prepared for three papers from this compilation.
