This paper presents the study of 5G coding schemes application to Faster than Nyquist transmission with optimal signals. Comparison of LDPC and Polar coding performance with optimal FTN signals is given. BER performance analysis for different transmission rates is provided. It is shown that LDPC coding scheme is more preferable in particular cases because it deals more effectively with the errors arising from ISI in the FTN signal compared to polar code.
