Abstract

This study emphasizes the α2 AR-related modulation of absence epilepsy and particularly the significance of α2 AR antagonism in suppressing SWDs. Atipamezole's SWD-suppressive actions may be through CaMKII-mediated second messenger systems in the thalamus.
