A nanostructured macromolecular lithium salt electrolyte additive is reported. It can serve as a flexible physical barrier between Li/electrolyte interphase and provide extra Li<sup>+</sup>. Some of its functional groups can absorb HF, reducing parasitic reactions at high temperature.
