Refrigeration systems in supermarkets with propane and CO2: energy consumption and economy.

Abstract

The paper presents the conclusions drawn from two demonstration projects carried out in supermarkets in Denmark, with a propane/CO2 cascade cycle. System design, refrigerants and components are described and conclusions on energy consumption and economy are presented.
