Local excision after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy versus total mesorectal excision: a case‐matched study in 110 selected high‐risk patients with rectal cancer

Abstract

The accuracy of response prediction after RCT was 72% after LE. In high-risk patients, LE represents a safe alternative to TME with better functional results and the same long-term oncological outcome.
