AMINO ACID EXCRETION IN INFANCY AND EARLY CHILDHOOD: A SURVEY OF 200,000 INFANTS

Abstract

One-dimensional amino acid chromatography of urine samples from 200,000 infants usually aged between six and 12 weeks has been performed. The findings are presented and the value of the test as a screening one for phenylketonuria and other inborn errors of metabolism is discussed.
