Abstract

Underwater welding is the process of connecting two similar or different metals which are carried out underwater. This process is applied in various construction of engineering materials both on land and underwater environments such as in ship construction, oil and gas mining in the middle of the sea and nuclear power plants. Material construction greatly influences the method suitable for the welding process. It will affect the evolution of the microstructure and mechanical properties of the material. So, it will affect the results of the welded joint.
