Abstract

LT-PCR is feasible and reliable for detecting FR<sup>+</sup> CTCs in patients with periampullary cancer. FR<sup>+</sup> CTCs, especially when used in combination with CA19-9, have potential as a biomarker for the diagnosis of PC.
