Pyritization of the Middle Carboniferous Sandstones of the Donbas

Abstract

To improve the safety of work at coal enterprises, it is necessary to continue research of oxidation of sulfides in rocks and coal seams through the stages of coal maturation linked with catagenesis and metagenesis. The different constitution of crystal structure of minerals impact on the nature of the transformation of rocks, physical properties of the rock mass. The results can be the basis for the development of criteria for assessing the tendency of coal deposits to spontaneous combustion during displaying various gas-dynamic phenomena.
