Dynamic intraoperative monitoring demonstrates that diaphragmatic re-approximation and sub-diaphragmatic relocation has a greater effect on EGJ compliance than sphincter augmentation. As such, antireflux procedures should address both for optimal improvement of EGJ physiology.
