Abstract

NGF augments glutamate- and mGlu<sub>1/5</sub> receptor-mediated excitation of nociceptive neurons by AKAP5-dependent phosphorylation of TRPV1 channels, potentiating hypersensitivity to glutamate in inflamed tissues.
