Abstract

As the distributed control is more adapted to the structural characteristics and operational requirements of the smart distribution grid, it has great potential to be the mainstream control mode in the future distribution network. Taking the intelligent distributed control mode as an example, this paper uses the ‘voting’ strategy to convert causal relationship between feeder state and FTU status into decision in algebraic form. The decision helps to reflect the fault possibility of each feeder. Finally, the Bayesian probability model plays a great role in identifying the fault feeder which explains the overcurrent information of FTU best. The proposed method avoids the information transmission distance and the processing capability of master station especially for the complex distribution network with many T-type coupling nodes. The fault location method proposed in this paper is suitable for the identification of single or multiple fault with high fault tolerance.
