Global burden of noncommunicable diseases attributable to high fasting plasma glucose

Abstract

The burden of NCDs attributable to HFPG has increased significantly since 1990 and varied widely across regions. Greater efforts are needed to prevent and control hyperglycemia, especially in less developed countries and among males.
