Multifunctional nanoparticles hold great potential for clinical and medical research. Herein, Ag2Te QDs were applied as multifunctional contrast agents for the second near-infrared region (NIR-II) fluorescence and X-ray computed tomography (CT) imaging. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated that Ag2Te QDs exhibited low toxicity and remarkable fluorescence and CT imaging contrast properties. Moreover, long-term fluorescence imaging was also achieved. These results indicated that Ag2Te QDs had great potential as multifunctional contrast agents for near-infrared fluorescence and CT imaging in clinical research.
