Modulation of posttraumatic epileptogenesis in aquaporin‐4 knockout mice

Abstract

Posttraumatic seizures (PTSs) may be modulated by the astrocyte water channel AQP4. Absence of AQP4 increases the number of spontaneous seizures, increases seizure duration, and alters EEG power patterns of PTSs.
