Simultaneously improving the photovoltaic parameters of organic solar cells <i>via</i> isomerization of benzo[<i>b</i>]benzo[4,5]thieno[2,3-<i>d</i>]thiophene-based octacyclic non-fullerene acceptors

Three isomeric FREAs were synthesized and applied in organic solar cells. The OSC devices based on Z1-bb exhibited a PCE of 12.66%. The isomerization of a fused-ring core could be achieve high-performance OSCs with high <italic>J</italic><sub>sc</sub>, <italic>V</italic><sub>oc</sub>, and FF.
