Abstract

<i>TERT</i> promoter mutations independently predict a dismal course of disease in human MPM. The altered genomic aberration pattern indicates that <i>TERT</i> promoter mutations identify a novel, highly aggressive MPM subtype presumably based on a specific malignant transformation process.
