How imaging should properly be used in COVID-19 outbreak: an Italian experience

Abstract

T he recent diffusion of a novel coronavirus (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, SARS-CoV-2) has been defined as a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020. This brutal infection is responsible for a syndrome named coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19) that manifests with unspecific respiratory symptoms of variable severity, ranging from mild to life-threatening (1).
