We demonstrate an important mechanism whereby SIRT1 destabilizes FTO, steering the m<sup>6</sup> A<sup>+</sup> of downstream molecules and subsequent mRNA expression in HCC tumorigenesis. Our findings uncover a target of SIRT1 for therapeutic agents to treat HCC.
