Abstract

The activation of β-adrenergic receptors in microglial cells triggers a cAMP-Epac-dependent and a cAMP-PKA-dependent cascade which affects phagocytosis via modulation of the swelling-activated Cl- current I<sub>Cl,swell</sub>.
