Reaction of [SbW<sub>9</sub>O<sub>33</sub>]<sup>9-</sup> with [Pt(H<sub>2</sub>O)<sub>2</sub>(OH)<sub>4</sub>] results in the first example of the mixed addenda Anderson-Evans type Pt<sup>IV</sup>{Sb<sup>V</sup>(OH)<sub>2</sub>}W<sup>VI</sup><sub>5</sub>O<sub>22</sub>]<sup>7-</sup> anion, isolated and characterized as K<sub>6</sub>Na<sub>2</sub>[Pt{Sb(OH)<sub>2</sub>}W<sub>5</sub>O<sub>22</sub>](NO<sub>3</sub>)<sub>0.1</sub>(OH)<sub>0.9̇</sub>11H<sub>2</sub>O (<b>1</b>).
