Chronic exposure of the J20 mouse model of Alzheimer's disease to a cocktail of fungicides, at the regulatory concentration allowed in tap water (<mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mrow><mml:mn>0.1</mml:mn><mml:mspace></mml:mspace><mml:mi>μ</mml:mi><mml:mi>g</mml:mi><mml:mo>/</mml:mo><mml:mi>L</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math>), strengthened the preexisting pathological markers: neuroinflammation, <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>A</mml:mi><mml:mi>β</mml:mi></mml:mrow></mml:math> aggregation, and APP <mml:math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML"><mml:mrow><mml:mi>β</mml:mi><mml:mtext>-processing</mml:mtext></mml:mrow></mml:math>. We hypothesize prevention strategies toward pesticide long-term exposure may be an alternative to counterbalance the lack of treatment and to slow down the worldwide Alzheimer's epidemic. https://doi.org/10.1289/EHP5550.
