Abstract

Expression of metallo-β-lactamase is the main resistance mechanism of <i>P. aeruginosa</i> to carbapenem. Mutations in OprD2 and/or the overexpression of efflux pump MexAB-OprM may contribute to <i>P. aeruginosa</i> resistance to carbapenem.
