The graphene oxide/rare earth Tb<sup>3+</sup> complex hybrid, GO-L-Tb, luminescent micron crystals with special multi-layered six-petal flower shape were facilely obtained by treatment of the L-Tb with GO in DMF solution using solvothermal method.
