Effect of silver diamine fluoride and potassium iodide on bonding to demineralized dentin.

Silver diamine fluoride can be applied precisely and regionally on demineralized dentin before bonding without compromising the bond strength of a universal adhesive used with phosphoric acid etching. Addition of potassium iodide to reduce discoloration will dramatically weaken the bond.
