Abundance and body size of the invasive snail Physa acuta occurring in Burdwan, West Bengal, India

Abstract

The abundance and body size of the population of the invasive snail Physa acuta Draparnaud, 1805 (Gastropoda: Hygrophila: Physidae) was assessed from recently established population in Burdwan, India. On the basis of the shell length and body weight of the snails the body size variations were portrayed.
