We propose a novel localization algorithm based on the Hough transform for Doppler through-wall radar (TWR) human sensing. This algorithm utilizes a novel Bezier fitting model, which extracts radar echoes and estimates the target instantaneous frequencies (IFs) in real time. Based on the IF estimation outcomes, target motion trajectories are created with Doppler synthesis. The employed search method enhances upon traditional ones and improves the efficiency of finding the best parameters. While the proposed algorithm achieves a limited improvement in the estimation accuracy of the target movement trajectory, this algorithm effectively suppresses the frequency ambiguity. Indeed, the proposed algorithm shows good and promising benefits for several multitarget sensing applications. Experimental results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed method.
