Use of a switchable-hydrophilicity solvent as both a solvent and a catalyst in aldol condensation

Abstract

CO₂ switchable <italic>N</italic>,<italic>N</italic>-dimethylcyclohexylamine was used as both a recyclable catalyst and solvent for aldol condensation, giving good to excellent yields.
