The Problems During and since the Second World War considerable advances have been made in the understanding and management of cases of head injury. Rich though the rewards of this experience have been-and these may be gauged by the multitude of articles published on special aspects of the subject during the past 10 years-the field for further study is still fertile with many problems, and it is the intention in this thesis to record the results of study of a series of 2,000 case histories of closed head injury at the Head Injury Bureau at Oxford.
