Abstract

suggestedwill result in less-complex fractions amen - able to quantitative analysis. The mild procedures employed in fractionation of the acids might be expected not to cause modification of structure during processing. Consideration of the results obtained in this investigation illustrates that the composition of marine oils is of a far greater com- plexity than hitherto envisaged. SUMMARY 1. A new approach has been suggested for the analysis of total marine oil acids without isolation of individual components.
