Electrochemical Reduction of CO<sub>2</sub> on the Low Index Planes of Platinum in Acetonitrile

Abstract

Structural effects on the rate of CO2reduction were studied on the low index planes of Pt(Pt(111)Pt(100)and Pt(10))usingmacro-electrolysisinacetonitrilecontainingO1M(Mmoldm-3)tetraethylanmmonium perchrolateCO2was reduced at-31V(vsAgAg)with the concentration of water controlled at252mM
