Sarcopenia is Predictive of Functional Outcomes in Older Trauma Patients

Abstract

Sarcopenia is prevalent in geriatric trauma ICU patients and is an independent predictor of poor functional outcomes. Assessing for sarcopenia has an important potential as a prognostic tool in older trauma patients.
