Does your neighborhood protect you from being depressed? A study on social trust and depression in Indonesia

Abstract

This study shows that social trust is associated with the severity of depression symptoms: the higher the social trust, the lower the probability of having severe depression symptoms is. Depression symptoms may also be attributed to significant differences between communities.
